I have read many books in my time on earth, so I thought I might share with you some of my favourites. I have spent lots of time narrowing it down to the best in each category, and I am now finally happy with the results.
Please remember this is my opinion, so don’t leave any hateful or snide remarks. Feel free to add any other recommendations in the comment section.
Favourite Book
I am a huge fan of all types of books, but this one made me cry, laugh, smile and connect thoroughly to all the unique characters. I have read it so many times, and it never gets boring. Even though it isn’t too difficult, it still calls for time to reflect, post-reading.
Part of the reason I love this book so much is the fact that it has so much depth, despite not using as many words as other books such as; All Creatures Great and Small. That being said, James Herriot is a beautiful writer, and I did enjoy that book as well.
But enough of me blabbering on… congratulations Alan Gratz, your book got a shining recommendation from a girl on a blog which has barely any views!
favourite series
I apologize for the annoying fact I am about to tell you – I was unable to narrow this one down from my top two! But you know, the more the merrier, and if you read every book on my list, you will be busy for a few weeks!
For my first one, I am quite positive most of you will have either watched this series, or read the phenomenal, remarkable, amazing and breathtaking books.
Unfortunately, if you watched the series first, you have missed out on all the beautiful and dynamic words formed together by this amazing author, (not judging the movie or anything) but there is still time! Quickly, once you find out what this book is, rapidly run to the store, buy a copy and start reading right away! (I said ‘buy’ because you will want to read it again and again, and renting/borrowing would be a waste of time – but if that works for you, that’s still great!)
The series I am talking about has recommendations from Stephenie Meyer, (author of the vampire romance novels, Twilight) Stephen King, (author of many horror, supernatural fiction, suspense, science fiction and fantasy) Rick Riordan (author of the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series), and many more well known authors.
Well, what are you waiting for? Scroll down and look at the “terrifying and exhilarating” (Sunday Telegraph) and “stunning” (The Times) trilogy!

Now for the second one. I haven’t actually finished reading this, but I am already obsessed – and I am already extremely enraged at the fact I accidently came across one of the books in the epilogue series and read that first, so I completely spoiled the ending!
Anyway, despite my little ordering mishap, I am still entranced by these books, which is quite remarkable seeing as I usually read them way too late and am falling asleep mid word. (Just to clear it up, I am not saying it is a boring series, I am saying that I need to read them at a different time during the day!)
Some reviews that flatter this series are: “…a story to be read at full pelt – I could not put it down – and then be returned, for a second and third more thoughtful savouring” (Australian Bookseller & Publisher). “An enlightening book about growing up and discovering who you are” (Sunday Telegraph).
Well, it wouldn’t be unusual for you to be a little frustrated with me since I have been rambling on about how great this book is, and I haven’t even gotten around to telling you! Without further ado…
favourite Author
Unfortunately, in this category, my indecisiveness has taken its toll once again, and I cannot, for the love of life, narrow it down between my top two!
I was drawn to this first author, as I aspire to write as gracefully as she does, and I like to believe I have a very unpolished and amateur version of her style. Like my favourite book, I have read the books made by this author dozens of times now, and I am still not bored of them, which is amazing! Even though I had started writing long before I was introduced to this author, she was the one who got me in the flow and rituals of writing.
One-day I hope to influence someone with my books and poetry as my tied favourite author has influenced me…
Siobhan Curham!
I don’t know much about her in terms of popularity, since my social life is kind of a sham, but I do know that her books made me cry, laugh, shout, scream and feel.
Some of my favourite books written by her would be the Moonlight Dreamers, and Tell it to the Moon – I’m pretty sure I have made that abundantly clear on a lot of occasions!

As I already stated, I came to a tie when evaluating all my favourite authors. I would have happily bumped Hunger Games out of the running for favourite series and replaced it with this authors series, (sorry Suzanne Collins) only to realize like most authors, she has written multiple books and series, and I loved them all!
I probably wouldn’t recommend some of these books and series to any youngens, but I will leave that up to their parents, since I wouldn’t want to step on their toes.
Anyway, although she didn’t give me the idea to start a blog, her charismatic writing and contagious chills constantly having me drooling with envy for such skill. I only started reading this recently, but I have fallen in love with her writing already, and first impressions last.
Sarah J. Maas!
The fact remains that I don’t really know her popularity status, but I do know she was a #1 New York Times best selling author, with her most well known series, Throne of Glass, and A Court of Thorns and Roses series (my personal favourite).
